DIY Gains is a workout tracking app developed by Searlesoft. This policy explains how your information is handled when you use the app.
Data We Collect
We collect no personal data directly. The app does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information.
Data Stored on Your Device
All workout data you enter — including workout names, exercises, sets, reps, and weights — is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server by us.
Advertising — Google AdMob
DIY Gains uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob is a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. In order to serve relevant ads, AdMob may collect and use certain information from your device, including:
- Device identifiers (such as the advertising ID)
- IP address and approximate location
- App usage and interaction data
- Device information (model, OS version)
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Searlesoft does not have access to or control over the data collected by AdMob.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
For more information on how Google uses data from apps that use AdMob, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
